I have heard a few different stories about “David Pelbaum”. Some say that he is a ficticious character and that these paintings were comissioned by a furniture store in the 1950′s to a student painter group. They painted a series of 50 or so to give as gifts upon a sale. the other story is that these paintings are worth between $200-2,500 USD and are collectable. No one has ever met or seen the artist, so this is a bit suspicious. I absolutely love my Rabbi painting and at this point just enjoy it each day. Either way you look at it, they are well painted and a good accent to any home.
