Store Review - Vastu
Vastu is a very cool furniture shop located in Moshav Batzra (over by the prison) that carries furniture which is country home / shabby chic in flavor, but doesn’t have the same look that everyone else is carrying.
They sent me some pics - and I’m posting my favorites. I could totally see the table to the left in an entryway or a hallway - or in a dining room as a replacement for a sideboard. I’m loving the color and the carved wood.
The set to the right is cute, popular, and will look amazing in the right home - which is why I decided to post it.
With that said - if you do love this look (and I do) don’t put all of these pieces together in the same room please. Matchy matchy bad bad.
On the other hand I love, love, LOVE, this cupboard from the same collection as the shabby chic bits above. I love the antique white look of the piece, I love the chicken wire french country front, I love the panelled back.
Imagine this in a living room and the inside is filled with books and tchochkes. Simple, lovely. A big statement piece to anchor a room.
Plus the chicken wire front will discourage any toddlers from taking all of your books and throwing them (with glee) onto your floor…
