Store Review: Gavriel

by Shira Abel Shvo on July 15, 2009

Gavriel is overflowing with pretty. It oozes from the place and fills you with light sweet joy from the moment you step inside. Ok, maybe it doesn’t do that – but there’s some seriously great eye candy in this place.

three_arches_doorway

Isn’t that just gaspingly gorgeous? The only thing I would change is the flowers – they are fake. But you can’t tell that in the photos so it works.

denim_armchair

The denim covered helmet and leather gloves are props on the chair. It would make more sense, for me at least, to have the seat cushion out of the lighter fabric and the pieces which can’t be thrown into the laundry made out of the darker fabric. But I love the chair, regardless and understand the logic behind the decision. I’m sure the designer doesn’t have small hands all over his sofas at home and only has to worry about crumbs falling.

white_ceiling_lamp

Love the white.

lovely_bed

A properly made bed. There are a few here and they are all utterly amazing. They have European size square pillows so you can actually make a nice looking bed. How lovely is this – seriously?

tuscan_yellow_accessories

Tuscan yellow accessories.

country_carraige_chair

Classic farmhouse chairs.

beige_sofa_toile_pattern_armchair

Even the beige is interesting.

ulphostered_bed_frame_floor_lamps

I love the floorlamps, but beware the metal shade when the light is on… ouch.

fake_lavendar_flowers_in_vessel

Fake flowers, cute vessel. Ignoring the flowers.

Gavriel – near Susanna on Shabazi 13 in Neve Tzedek, south Tel Aviv.
