Penthouse Furniture - store review
Penthouse Furniture (not related to the magazine of the same name) carries sexy well-made furniture imported from around the world.
Their style varies from the old world grandeur of leather wingback armchairs and chesterfield sofas to modern ethnic.
About a year ago I stopped by the store when I was looking for sofas. They had fantastic oversized slipcovered sofas which could have taken over my entire living room. If only.
I love their pieces, and I have to say I don’t think the dressing in either of these photos does their products justice.
The store has many oversized and heavy pieces, but using them in a mix, instead of having the entire room look like a dull geek vampire den (vampires have more style than this) is the way to go. This furniture should be contrasted with lighter pieces and some color. I would have put the chesterfield with a colored wall (probably a light sage green) and an antique Turkish carpet with a red background.
If that is too much color for you then an eggshell white wall with a cream cashmere blanket on the sofa and an ivory carpet. And a different lamp. I don’t like that squat lamp.
Penthouse Furniture is located in Gaash shopping area (they are in the furniture area in the far corner close to the freeway).
