House Beautiful : Blue Chair in Central Park
Call me crazy, but haven’t I been talking about this shade of blue since this summer right here on Tchochkes? This month’s issue of House Beautiful is devoted entirely to this vibrant shade and they are really putting on a show. I just read about their Blue Chair Give-away on the streets of New York City… WOW, they gave away some really great chairs for FREE. Sorry I missed out on that one!
Look at that cool ottoman… and is that an Eames chair? Yes it is! Those chairs retail for about $350.00 USD. Blue has been in the forefront of design many times over the past few years. Pantones color of the year for 2008 was Blue Iris, a color very similar to the blue featured here. Their color of the year for 2010 is another blue, more on the turquiose side but still in the blue family.
